Residential Services...
Portfield School has four modern purpose-built residential boarding houses on the main school site at Parley in Dorset, with each accommodating up to eight children. The boarding service is managed by the residential service manager who leads four teams of support staff, specially selected to reflect the assessed needs of its resident students.
Staff training is given a high priority within the school, and issues around child protection are given particular focus. For more information on how we train our staff, and courses on offer from The Wessex Autistic Society, please visit the courses and training pages.
All school boarders live in ‘family’ groups, and stay in a stimulating environment with a broad range of leisure and recreational activities on offer. Each enjoys single bedroom accommodation which is homely and fully equipped to meet their needs.
