A HELPING HAND-BAG CHARITY AUCTION - SAVE THE DATE!

Although no excuse is needed for the girls to get together, we have given you the perfect reason to enjoy a luxurious evening of shopping, cocktail sipping and mingling, all in the name of a good cause this autumn.

Taking place on Thursday 7th October from 7pm in 1812 Lounge Bar, Exeter Road, Bournemouth, The Wessex Autistic Society’s Daily Echo and Heart FM backed ‘Helping Hand-bag Charity Auction’ promises to be a dazzling occasion with live music, must have designer and celebrity handbags and a luxury shopping experience to remember.

We are looking for stylish, super chic handbag treasures buried at the bottom of your wardrobe that you would be happy to pass on to another ‘fashionista’, all in the name of charity. Day, evening; large, small; if you’ve loved them a little and they’re gently used gems we’ll love them a lot and might even give them centre stage at our autumn auction. Donating your heavenly handbags could be your way of giving people with autism a helping hand in the local community to live independent, fuller and productive lives. Alongside your personal treasures, we are approaching famous fashion houses and celebrities to donate their seasonal finest so we can do our best for people with autism and give you a memorable shopping experience and a truly one off accessory for your wardrobe! Donation points will be posted throughout the county, including The Wessex Autistic Society’s Head Office in Bargates, Christchurch, the Society’s resource centre in Trinity Street, Dorchester and ‘Fab Frocks’ in Westbourne already acting as collection points. Simply drop in your gently-used handbag at your chosen collection point and we’ll do the rest.

By coming along to our special evening, you’ll be doing so much more than finding a new home for your house keys. Your contributions in the run up to the event will be invaluable to the charity, and your attendance on the night will be rewarded with your choice of luxury handbags to bid for, alongside other surprises to make the event a must attend occasion.

Tickets are priced at just £10, including a free cocktail on arrival and will be available in a number of outlets across the county including The Royal Exeter Hotel, Exeter Road, Bournemouth and Richmond Classics, Richmond Hill, Bournemouth.
