SCHOOL SUMMER FAYRE
With Alice coming all the way from Wonderland, tractor rides, bouncy castle, ice cream, a static plane, fire engine and more, Portfield School’s summer fayre couldn’t help but be a great success with children and adults alike.
The Mayor of Christchurch, Councillor Nicholas Geary opened the event to a crowd of visitors and stayed throughout the day to enjoy the fayre to the full.
Sarah Bohn, Community and Events Fundraiser comments, “The event raised hundreds of pounds for the school and helped raise the profile of the charity locally too. We are delighted with the turn out and the support we received from parents and the local community. With just 60 students, a third of whom come from outside the area, we are really pleased so many people were able to come along, enjoy the fayre and raise valuable funds for such a worthwhile cause.”
