Local companies are being urged to join The Wessex Autistic Society’s annual Give Cash not Cards campaign. You will be helping toraise money for the local charity bynot doing anything! By not sending Christmas cards (and saving yourself lots of time) you can raise money for the Christchurch based Charity which provides services to people with autism; it’s easy, simply send us what you would have spent on the cards and the postage!
Participation is incredibly easy and low cost - a company or business contacts The Wessex Autistic Society and pledges to donate to the appeal rather than send out corporate or business to business cards this Christmas. We send you stickers promoting the scheme to put on all outgoing letters and invoices so that everyone knows your company is participating. In addition your company's name is published in our newsletter and on our web site – we will even let all our followers know about your altruism via our Twitter feed and on Facebook.
After Christmas, all participants are invited to a special reception for a mass cheque presentation. Already this year many of the companies who took part in last year’s successful campaign have signed up for 2010.
Why not add your company's name to the growing list and demonstrate to your customers and staff your commitment to the local community. If your company is unable to participate in this way then why not raise the money with your colleagues - instead of sending inter-office Christmas cards pledge a donation to the Appeal and we will supply you with special posters and desk notices so your colleagues know your intentions. If your company matches funds raised by employees then you can double your contribution by simply not doing anything!! Participation is easy - just give Debbie Anderson a call on 01202 703584 or email d.anderson@twas.org.uk. We will then send you the required number of stickers.
Past support has been invaluable in ensuring The Wessex Autistic Society can continue to support people affected by autism in Dorset.
