Volunteer...

Our volunteers are a valued part of our team, and integral to the success of our fundraising events. Some of our volunteers have an affinity to the Society or a personal link to Autism, but many simply love getting involved in the thick of events, organising, and feeling a sense of achievement from helping raise money for people with Autism who need it most. We hold regular volunteer socials so it’s a great way to meet and make new friends with common interests.

We always need new volunteers and if you can spare any amount of time then we need you!

We hold many events each year where we need you - Register as a volunteer with us and we will send you information of everything happening throughout the year, from fun runs to concerts, where you can come along and enjoy the day while doing your bit for Autism. Do you know of an event happening in your area where you would like to collect on behalf of The Wessex Autistic Society? School or community fetes, concerts, shows, are all the kind of place where you can get involved with the community on behalf of TWAS. Why not bake some cakes and sell them with proceeds going to charity? Or carry out children’s face painting? The possibilities are endless and only limited by your imagination! If you have an idea then get in touch and share it with us, and we can help you organise your day.

If you work in an office or school, or are a member of community groups, you can help us by spreading the word about our fantastic annual draws and raffles. We’ve had prizes such as holidays, cars, pamper days and more… So at £1 a ticket you can get selling and who knows what you and your family might win!
