The National Autistic Society has an "All about Diagnosis" section covering the processes for children and adults and its affects on the family. All about Diagnosis

OAASIS is a service offering information, support and resources for parents and carers of children with an ASD and other learning difficulties. They provide information on diagnosis for chuldren: Autism and Asperger Syndrome

You can also download a fact sheet for adult diagnosis of Asperger called "Getting an Assessment and Afterwards"
