HEAVENLY HANDBAGS RAISE THOUSANDS!

A collection of 16 designer handbags caused a sensation helping to raise thousands of pounds for the Society at our inaugral handbag auction recently. The auction bags included a brand new Lulu Guinness iconic 'lips' clutch, alongside firm favourites such a Mulberry, Burberry and glamorous wartime creation Whiting and Davis. Luxury items from Russell and Bromley and Kiki's boutique in Christchurch also proved popular. As well as the auction delights, the 'bags to buy' section proved incredibly popular with gently used bags, as donated by the local community, being snapped up by handbag hungry fashionistas!

Sarah Bohn, Community and Events Fundraiser comments, "The event was a huge success and we have a lot to thank our magnanimous sponsors for. The money raised will go towards helping people within our community affected by autism and that sum wouldn't be nearly as impressive without the support of our sponsors. As such, we sincerely thank 1812 Lounge Bar, Michael Matthews Jewellery, Basepoint Business Centre, Forever Gorgeous Spa,  MagicBoxMedia, The Print Agency, Savills and Siemens VAI. DJ Bunker from Heart FM, who donated his time and effervescent personality as our auctioneer really made the occassion. Thanks is also extended to Heart FM and the wonderful 'Heart Angels' and the Bournemouth Daily Echo who supported the event as media sponsors."

Feedback from the evening was very positive, with the free cupcakes from Fabulous Fancies going down very well. 1812 who generoulsy hosted the occasion was the perfect venue for the glitzy evening.
