World Autism Awareness Day
Campaigning for positive change to make the world a more accessible place to people with autism and their families is inherent in every support service we provide every day and all year round.
On 2nd April World Autism Awareness Day will seek to shine an even brighter light on autism. Increasing awareness is essential to early diagnosis, creating more employment opportunities and providing appropriate support.
Throughout the month of April, please help us to shine a light on autism by showing your support:
- Update your Facebook status to show your support for World Autism Awareness Day
- Read a personal insight into living with autism
- Share your own experience with a friend or someone in your community
- Develop your knowledge at our Annual Conference on 16th May
- Act as an ambassador for autism by volunteering or becoming a TWAS member
- Organise your own fundraising event or sign up to our Golf Day on 24th April
- Be part of our online community - follow us on Facebook or join us on Twitter

- Information and Advice Service 01305 213135 advice@twas.org.uk
- Advice on any autism related issue, as well as information on the benefits available to those with autism and related learning difficulties is available from our free in-house Information and Advice service.
